After the success of "The Avengers" movie, Marvel studios plans to create a TV series of The Avengers for telecast in ABC. But the project is still in it's early stages. So Marvel Studios does not promote it and doesn't gave more details about the project to the media. It is said that there wouldn't be a direct connection between Marvel's "The Avengers" movie and the new project TV series. With this TV series, Marvel's character can be seen in a TV series after 30 years. The last TV series including a Marvel character was "The Incredible Hulk".
Reporters stated that the series would be set in the same Marvel Universe, and feature some of the same themes but it may not feature all these superhero characters in Marvel's "The Avengers" movie. Some stated that Marvel and ABC may be more interested in developing something directly for TV rather than using an original concept from the Marvel Universe comic books. But further details are not available yet and sometimes Marvel Studios is now focusing on stand-alone sequels Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. At the end of work with these sequels Marvel Studios may provide more details to the media and the public. They are also planning on making The Avengers 2 in 2015.
